Meet Kristina Green
Advocate – Educational and Accessibility Specialist – Parent
Kristina’s professional and personal background is multifaceted as she has over 18 years of professional teaching and administrative experience within both public and private education coupled with her extensive expertise in Special Education. She holds a bachelors degree in Psychology as well as a Masters degree in Education specializing in Neurodivesity/Learning differences in addition to Dyslexia. Kristina is a child centered advocate, educator and parent that wants to ensure that every child is provided an appropriate education tailored to meet their learning needs.
Kristina also utilizes her experience, knowledge and proficiency/expertise as a mother/parent navigating ARD and 504 meetings when advocating for her own children. As a parent and special educator, Kristina is able to utilize multiple lenses, her professional lens and her parent lens when advocating for children and their families.
Kristina is well-versed in special education law, from the viewpoints of both parents and educators. Her compassion for students and parent concerns, come together with her experience-based insights regarding the district/school/state initiatives, protocols, and the wide variety of factors that can influence individual special education services and decisions.
Additionally, Kristina is able to analyze and interpret evaluations (FIEs/NeuroPsych Evals/IEEs), school/classroom data to assist in determining if a child’s IEP and educational placement are appropriate providing them access to specially designed instruction/programs that allows for them to make adequate progress and meets their individualized learning needs.
As your advocate, she will provide information about the legal rights of children with disabilities, help families understand the special education process, and assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
